Two of the new signature images of New Fantasyland; the first shows Belle outside of Maurice’s cottage with Beast’s castle in the background, while the second shows Ariel on the beach in front of Prince Eric’s castle

Okay. Here’s the deal. I don’t have to say good things about Brave, but I’m going to because the film is incredible.
After seeing it last night, I said it wasn’t what I expected. By that, I meant the story is not the standard girl-can-beat-the-boys story as some of the advertising would have you believe. It’s a story about family, specifically about the relationship between Merida and her mother. And as always, the animation was stunning. (I don’t want to give too much away before it officially opens, so pardon my vagueness.)
ifapictureisworthathousandwords asked: Would you take your boys to it?
There is a Moby-Dick-type storyline involving a bear that’s pretty intense. Seriously, the bear is terrifying. So, for that reason only, I think my boys are a bit too young. But, older kids — both boys and girls — will totally enjoy it.
Damn it, I want to see this movie so much. But $65 for the four of us to go to the theatre? Bah!
