Sometimes I forget I’m pregnant
Really. I do. I forget that this big belly isn’t the result of eating too much junk food, and when I realise we’ll have a baby around in about 10 weeks, I feel disoriented. I have a hard time buying baby stuff because I still haven’t really realised there is going to be a baby around here.
It just feels like buying Chistmas gifts in May. You know they’ll be useful at some point, but there is no urgency, and no real plan of what I need still. The crib is still in the box, the stroller is still in the box, the baby clothes are stored in their vacuum seal bags still to keep them clean. I feel like I have all the time in the world to clean the house and get stuff ready.
It’s just… weird.
