The Kids

Adrian is usually calm and reserved. He loves reading, puzzles and video games (mostly Portal/Portal 2 and the Lego series). His interests come and go, but for the longest time he was a huge Star Wars fan and really into astronomy. At the age of 5, he was diagnosed with High-Functioning Autism. He has some difficulties getting along with other students in his class sometimes, but he does extremely well with both reading and math, and memorizes things quite easily.

Isaac is quite the opposite of his brother. He is loud and full of energy (though he does have his shy and sensitive side, too). He’s also very into dragons, knights and swords - and thus is quite interested in the Lord of the Rings and daddy’s Dungeons & Dragons books. He also really likes helping out in the kitchen, watching My Little Pony, painting his nails and having his hair coloured blue. He LOVES being a big brother and cannot get enough of his sister.

Erika is curious, strong-willed and determined, yet still a relatively calm and easy baby. She wakes up with a smile, and it stays on her face for most of the day. She loves food, but strongly prefers feeding herself over eating off a spoon. Erika adores her brothers, so anywhere Adrian and Isaac go, Erika is sure to be right behind them.

The Husband

Name:  Nicolas

Age: 25 (March 23rd)

Description: Brunette, approx 5’ 10”- 5’11”

Nick currently works full-time in manual labour to support us. He’d like to be a high-school math teacher in the future, if possible. He loves all things D&D, strategy board games, videogames (notably the Silent Hill, StarCraft, and Castlevania series, among many others). You’ll probably never see him without his trenchcoat near by, and if it were up to him he’d wear a suit (or at least a shirt & tie) every day. He loves being a father, and if we could afford it, he’d love to own a house out in the country with a big old car, a lake nearby for fishing, and a bunch of kids.

The Blogger

 Name: Jacqueline Marie (or Tasa)

 Age: 25 (Feb 23rd)

 Status: Married

 Currently living in: the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), Ontario, Canada

 Description: Redhead. 5’ 3-ish.

 Positives: Quiet, geeky, optimistic. creative (sometimes), sarcastic

 Downfalls: Extremely self-conscious, clumsy, low energy, takes everything personally

 Anything else?: I currently work at a coffee chain, slinging coffee and donuts. I studied Criminology (combination psychology/sociology/law) but haven’t graduated (yet). I have a weird obsession with notebooks and writing utensils, and own way more than I need. (And never write in them because they’re so pretty and I don’t want to ruin them)

 Loves: concerts, birds, shoes, stationery, Dungeons & Dragons, trench coats, music, documentaries, learning, psychology, history, reading (both fiction and non) & drawing

     Books: 1984 (George Orwell), The Hobbit (JRR Tolkien), The Fox and The Hound (Daniel P. Mannix), The Divide (Nicholas Evans), A Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R. Martin). I also read a lot of non-fiction on different subjects - space exploration, microbiology, and a lot of history. 

     Movies: X-Men/X2, X-Men: First Class, From Dusk Till Dawn, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars (all of them!), The Matrix, Shaun of the Dead, Batman: The Dark Knight, Sin City, Les Miserables

     Television Shows: Hell on Wheels, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Law & Order/Law & Order: SVU, Breaking Bad

     Video games: God of War, Final Fantasy X, Star Wars Battlefront II, Left 4 Dead 2, Gears of War, Halo 2, Resident Evil 4, Portal, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, Borderlands, Red Dead Redemption

     Bands: Nightwish, Apocalyptica, Sonata Arctica, Borealis, Kittie, Rise Against, The Beatles, Disturbed, Art of Dying, Freedom Call (… the list goes on)

Secret: I’ve been living with depression (later diagnosed as bi-polar disorder) since I was 15, I finally went to the doctor for it in 2010. I’ve been on and off of medication since. (currently off)
